CD Mastering
We have our own fully equipped post production studio in house and can offer all CD Mastering & encoding solutions for audio CD pre-mastering prior to CD Manufacture.
So what is mastering? Every major label release is mastered to prepare it for radio airplay and retail sale. The reason? In the studio songs are generally recorded one at a time, resulting in album tracks leaving the mixing room with different output levels and varied EQs. A good mastering engineer can unify your album with skillful use of EQ, gain, and compression to give it a consistent sound from track to track. This process also allows the engineer to optimise the overall volume of the finished recording so that it sounds as big and impressive as possible as well as adding CD-Text information and ISRC codes if required.
Mastering is always subjective and different styles of music often require a varied approach in the mastering suite. A good mastering engineer can make the difference between a good-sounding CD and a great one. With over 25 years of experience in this field we can help you achieve what you want in getting the best out of your recording, so that it stands out against other releases in the commercial marketplace.
Our studio is equipped with the industry standard ‘Sadie’ PCM8 hard disc editor and is available for attended sessions whenever required. If you are unable to attend, you can upload your tracks to us direct for mastering and we will send you with a test disc for approval prior to manufacture.
